Wendy Pride from Canada sent me these images of this lovely handpainted vase.
I have no idea what the pattern is called as I haven´t seen another example of this design, although, as Wendy says, it is similar to the Tall Spring piece in the gallery. It is dated somewhere between 1925 and 1932.

A Lady called Anna sent me these Image of her Grandma’s Beautifully Elegant Vase dated 1881-3
A lady called Anna sent this image of her Grandma’s Faience Vase dated 1881-3. When I look at our two remaining bottle ovens and then I see something of this quality produced by them I am stunned at the skills which went into their making.
Bill sent in these pics of this fascinating New Castle Delaware, USA Flea Market find of a sitting elephant Toby Jug
This piece dating from c1912 must have the earliest Smilie that I have ever come across. It carries the word “Speechless” across the Top Hat. Could be a political satire on Theodore Roosevelt ???
Pauline Turner
Here is an image of a lovely pair of Majolica Jardinaires sent to me by Pauline Turner. They are definitely early, meaning 1881 to 1883
